In Search of the Edges

The works in this gallery seek to explore human design at a primitive level. Roughly geometrical forms become the bearers of new experiments with color, texture, edges, and shapes. “My goal in these paintings is to intrigue the eye,” says Leary. “I hope that each one will cause viewers to stop and gaze. I want their eyes to move from point to point the way one surveys a landscape, lingering on particular features and then taking in the broad sweep. I want each piece to give pleasure to the eye.”

Lives of Their Own

Each image in this gallery is intended to depict an apparently random and spontaneous natural event.
